Seismic Instruments was present for the 73rd EAGE Conference and Exhibition incorporating SPE EUROPEC 2011 in Vienna, Austria.

 

April 10-14, 2011

Seismic Instruments attended the 2011 Symposium on the Application of Geophysics to Engineering and Environmental Problems (SAGEEP) in Charleston, South Carolina.

 

February 2011

Seismic Instruments is in the process of completing a sale of miscellaneous equipment, including SAMs, HSLIMs, SMGs and 12 two-channel Telluric Amplifier Units (TAUs, seen below).

November 2010

Seismic Instruments completed a sale of an S•Land Smart System for mining and engineering purposes to the Nanjing Seismological Bureau in China. Mr. Geza Nemeth, SI’s President and CEO, helped to commission the 120 channel real-time system in Nanjing.

   

 

October 17-22, 2010

The SI Team was present for the 2010 SEG International Exposition in Denver, Colorado, where they unveiled the latest product in their line-up: the Master Smart Line Recording Module (MSLIM).

May 18 - June 1, 2010

Following his successful academic presentation at the workshop in Cairo, Seismic Instruments’ President, Geza Nemeth, stopped over in the Kurdistan region of Iraq to meet with SI customers. Last year, OMV purchased SI’s Autonomous Recording Node based system and deployed it in Erbil, Iraq. OMV has been helping The Kurdish Regional Ministry of Iraq to organize its own service group. Mr. Nemeth helped Dr. Kohlbeck, professor of Technical University of Vienna, in his educational program, and personally oversaw electronics tests performed on an S-Flex seismic acquisition system.

   

 

May 17 -19, 2010

Geza Nemeth, President and CEO of Seismic Instruments, Inc., traveled to Cairo, Egypt to present at the EAGE’s workshop: “Developments in Land Seismic Acquisition for Exploration.” An academic presentation on the potential development of 100,000 channel+ cable-free seismic acquisition systems was well-received by the attendees of the workshop.
